On Sunday, March 9th, 2025 at 12pm EST, The Cultured Pearl Foundation, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Omicron Upsilon Omega Chapter hosted it’s first ever in-person Armchair Chat - “A Current Affair: Preparing for Life Before & After”. The interactive panel event provided attendees with the knowledge to prepare for the inevitable. Armchair Chat 2021: Arming You with the Facts About the COVID-19 Vaccine
On Saturday, February 20th at 2pm EST, The Cultured Pearl Foundation, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Omicron Upsilon Omega Chapter hosted "An Armchair Chat: Arming You with the Facts About the COVID-19 Vaccine." The online interactive panel event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to receive non-biased information from two (2) women who have led the efforts in developing and distributing the COVID-19 Vaccine: Dara Richardson-Heron, M.D., Chief Patient Officer, Pfizer Inc. and Susan Silbermann, Global Advisor, Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group. The discussion was moderated by Gwen Edwards, the award-winning producer and host of "Our Lives" for News 12 Connecticut. This event is of particular importance to the Black and Brown communities, as our valid concerns about historic betrayals of trust surrounding vaccines and biases in medicine will be recognized and addressed head on. The event was streamed LIVE on The Cultured Pearl Foundation, Inc. Facebook page, and Omicron Upsilon Omega's Facebook and YouTube pages.
